My Story...

On May 21, 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout the month of June, I endured many tests, MRI’s, and biopsies that revealed Invasive Breast Cancer. It was considered Stage 3B with a Grade 3 tumor. The most prudent course of action was a double mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiation with hopes to rid my body of this insidious disease.

We were full of hope and promise as my 1 year scanned approached in July 2020. Unfortunately, a brain tumor was detected. Our worst nightmares were realized as they discovered that my breast cancer had metastasized to my brain. This journal began with my breast cancer diagnosis and is continuing as we navigate a new world of cancer treatments. I began my journey on my CaringBridge site and am continuing it on my own website.

We ask for your continued prayers for our family as we continue this fight. For all of you that know me, you know that I love my family very much.  I am confident that I will not surrender to this this ugly disease, but know that your loving prayers play a crucial role in my fight.

My Family

Jamie, Renee & Mason.

We are a nuclear family of 3.  Jamie and Renee were married in 1996. We were blessed with a beautiful little boy in 2010.  Mason completed our family in ways we only understood when we first held him and gazed into his eyes.  The picture above was taken in 2011 on our first trip to the beach as a family.  Little did we know that we would move and luckily call that 30A strip of paradise home in 2013.  We lived a charmed life.  In 2019, Breast Cancer joined our family.

We now reside in the Jacksonville area and are very close to the Mayo Clinic. We continue to be blessed daily.
